Meet the Founder
SmallBizCo is led by Ben Ko, an engineer-operator who knows how main-street companies actually run. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and is pursuing his MBA at Haas. Ben built software at Apple, E*TRADE, and Nexon, then ran a shipping-container operation serving logistics firms, rentals, and modification shops. He blends product rigor with field-tested judgment—favoring simple systems that ship fast and work daily. His focus is bringing modern tools—fast websites, AI chat, and an after-hours phone agent—to owners who can’t babysit tech.
